I used a paint brush to outline the curved petals before applying detailed layers with my palette knife

I have finished this piece of by adding free and flowing green markings representing the grass blowing between the tiny petals

The layers create textured petals and give the illusion of the daffodils growing up through the luscious green leaves and long country grasses
