Her exploration of triangular motifs reflects an engagement with the tension between order and chaos in natures crystalline structures, as well as an interest in Mexican culture. Inspired by her many visits to Mexico and her fascination with Mesoamerican forms, she also collected pre Columbian artefacts and textiles. Anni Albers (1899 1994)was one of
