they undergo a cuvaison of approximately two weeks in stainless steel before being racked into a mixture of large and small barrels for an extensive aging period of 30 to 36 months before being bottled (without filtration)

La Raia Piemonte Barbera 2023 Emilia-Romagna Elevage takes place in aBarbera comprises just 10% of La Raias vine surface, and their charming, snappy basic version is fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel and bottled the summer following harvest. The extraction is gentle without being shy, and the vibrant acidity and chalky undertones which characterize the white wines are on full display here as well.
