Tokyo Metabolizing mono.kultur Thanks to Emblem (Sydney)Originating from Japan in 1960, and now influential globally, the Metabolist movement proposed that cities can be metabolized, like machines growing wildly, and shedding their functional components. Produced in accompaniment to the Japan pavilion at the 2010 Venice Biennale, Tokyo Metabolizing presents an analysis of the city's architectural development from a Metabolist perspective, mainly through the work and writings of Yoshiharu Tsukamoto and Ryue
