Ei Chair architecture 350 L x 350 WEi is the Japanese word for stingray, duly named for the shape of the backrest: broad and tapered to a point at each end, spreading like the wings of a ray in open water. Produced for Origin Made, Gabriel Tan's updates to Yamakawa's original design bring it into present day production while leaving its character fully intact.
