Josef Fischer Riesling 'Ried Kirnberg' Smaragd Wachau 2021 Bordeaux-Right Bank and Joe’s inherent understanding ofSituated immediately northwest of Fischers home village of Rossatz, the north facing Kirnberg vineyard comprises various soil types: paragneiss at its base with dark mica and magnesium distributed throughout, terrace rubble higher up on its eastern flanks, and loess rich topsoil. Fischer produces a smaragd level Riesling from this site which combines the intense, focused acidity typical of these north facing sites with a slightly honeyed fruit profile.
