This piece is in a classic form and has gadrooned bands of design along the rims. The lid is pierced with decoration and has a nice finial. The lid fits very tight to the body. The lid and body are marked with the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter for 1941 and a maker's mark for Elkington & Co. The body is also marked with the anchor
