The exterior features a pattern of ‘bamboo’ lines over a high-fired stoneware base

In 2001 his work was once again selected for the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition

which translates as ‘clear stream’

This listing is for a beautiful Kyo ware plate made about 25 years ago by distinguished potter, Ichikawa Kozo. It is wheel thrown and the front is decorated with two vases and a black pitcher over a soft green background. The back of the plate is glazed black, and there are two holes allowing the plate to be hung on the wall.
