The dark Japanned, lacquered, frames are beautifully highlighted with mother of pearl inlaid garlands, foliate and floral detail accentuated by gold leaf highlights. The splayed tapering and turned front legs and circular section rear are united by a box stretcher with the fore most delicately turned. The pinched stiles rise into the shaped crest
