A very fine Grand Tour marble statue of Mercury who is sitting aside a tree stump, holding a sword to his right, and with pipes in his left hand. The original was purchased on a grand tour from an Italian studio for Burghley House. Size. 130 cm tall. 56 x 46 cm base.
