r.m.s Mauretania maiden voyage 1939 medallion. boots and shoes were givena commemorative event issue medallion for the maiden voyage of the second r. m. s. Mauretania 1939. the medallion was made of metal from the much loved first Mauretania of 1906 to 1935. the medallion retains a good level of gilding, the original red white and blue ribbon and the original fixing pin. mounted in a simple glazed frame. medallion diameter 33mm the all new Mauretania sailed on her maiden voyage from Liverpool to New York on 17 June 1939
