Upon his venture into abstract art, Thomas had visions of reality. In other words, he saw things through the abstract colors and textures. In this piece, he saw the common sight of a glass fishing ball washed up on the beach in Hawaii, usually from Japanese fishing boats. Combining the abstract background of the ocean to the beach,
