Aircraft Departing over the Plains Presentation:Matted With the fresh snow on

With the fresh snow on the grass and the fall color in the leaves I found myself on the capitol steps to capture this image west through Civic Center Park towards the City and County of Denver building

It was a full afternoon of cruise ships

checking out the tide pools on the west side of the park or checking out the skyline of San Diego

Just after arriving to Mendenhall Glacier  you could start to see them form in the sky however using a longer exposure they definitely do show up better with the camera

It was quiet in the park and as I headed to a tree which I found almost a year ago a slight chill was present but the beauty of the snow covered surroundings quickly made it go away

Aircraft Departing over the Plains Presentation:Matted With the fresh snow onEarlier in the spring I was scouting the area around the airport and noticed an aircraft on final approach to Denver International Airport. Looking down the road I had noticed the contrast of the two fields ahead and now the plane overflying one of those fields which got me thinking. I headed back to this location to capture some departures on this day as the aircraft quickly climbed over the Colorado plains.
