May Day Size:72"x35" Grant PeakTelluride, Colorado Backcountry skiing high above Telluride. Spring powder days in May are a backcountry skiers dream. This panorama was taken mid May after 12 of fresh snow fell on the San Juan Mountains. 14,000 Mt. Sneffels can be seen in the background just left of center image. The San Sophia Ridge which sits behind the town of Telluride is just out of view on the left hand side of the image. I love the texture of the fresh snow and the patterns
