His take on the 2021 growing season was that "it was difficult but not catastrophic as Marsannay was somewhat less affected by the April frost. Even so, the damage was highly variable with some vineyards barely touched while others got hammered. We picked from the 22nd of September and brought in pretty clean fruit that averaged 33 hl ha with good potential
