First Morning of 2012 in Denver Size:18"x24" I was able to stand

I was able to stand in a recently paved area which was still closed to traffic and capture this image

I made a pre-sunrise trip to La Jolla Cove

The look from this location can differ depending on the time of year as well as the weather so it is always a view I check when walking through the park

With a storm having moved through the area over night as well as high tide the water was coming up to the steps down to the cove bringing man and nature merging in the scene

and have also noticed changes to my style during this time as well

First Morning of 2012 in Denver Size:18"x24" I was able to standThe start of a new year is usually marked by sleeping in late due to the celebration from the prior night heading into the early hours of January 1st. To start off 2012, I fought the urge to sleep in and woke up in time to capture the first sunrise over Denver. As I waited for the sun to rise it was obvious people were still heading home after a long night, however like myself they were treated to the clouds lighting this first morning of 2012.
