Haut Brion may be more famous for its red wines but its whites can be excellent too and Ch. Haut Brion Blanc certainly shone in this vintage. With 44% Smillon and 56% Sauvignon Blanc it had enormous depth and restraint. The nose is mellow, elegant and aristocratic with tropical fruit peach and papaya on the palate. Rich and fine, this is a cerebral wine with an incredibly creamy, tropical minerality.
